Sitetopo, Freeware for Creating Contour

sitetopo

There are many questions on how creating a contour with AutoCAD. I know we can create it easily using Civil3D, LandDesktop, PowerCivil, Geopak, 12D or other site design applications.

However, when I read some threads in CADTutor, I found this thread. There is a freeware to do it: Sitetopo. It has limited capabilites, but I think quite impressive for a freeware. We can create TIN, contour lines, simple water flow analysis (rain analysis), simple pond analysis. i love the rain animation :)

Very small (530 KB) and we don’t even need to install it. We can save the result to DXF or LandXML. Very useful if we don’t have a site design application and need to create the surface/contour. What are you waiting for? Download Sitetopo now!
