Yesterday, I just get my ‘I Love the Ribbon’ T-Shirt from Robin Capper. Robin is one of the famous CAD bloggers (more famous than me, obviously) and post many good information about BIM in his CAD blog.
I have posted several times about ribbon interface, mostly for AutoCAD. AutoCAD users maybe the one who suffers a lot switching to ribbon interface. I hope my posts will help you to minimize the pain. Unfortunately, Autodesk still provides the ’classic interface’ so many AutoCAD users stick to it. But not in Revit, not in Inventor. I’m aware that some users managed to find out how to use the old interface, and started a campaign using it.
I understand if there are still some rejection to switch to ribbon. I had a hard time myself when first starting using it. Robin has started a campaign ‘I Love the Ribbon’ and has posted some good information about ribbon interface. One of the post is explaining why he loves ribbon :) You should read it. You may love the ribbon later on.
And if you are a ribbon lover, you may want to have the cool T-Shirt on your own. Robin has some cool ‘I Love the Ribbon’ merchandise.
